Football Manitoba is pleased to offer its members comprehensive insurance coverage through Sport Manitoba which covers many accident and injury costs not covered by the Manitoba provincial health plan.

All registered participants (coaches, players, officials and volunteers) are covered for accident and injury expenses, rehabilitation including physiotherapy and chiroprcatic care, including ambulatory costs.  This coverage is on a second-pay basis meaning that if you have other coverage place such as Blue Cross or extended health care through an employer or school, all claims must be placed through them first.  Any remaining balance not covered by your primary insurer can then be submitted to us providing there is an open claim made within the time allowed.  If you do not have other coverage in place your medical claims may be placed through us on a first-insurer basis.

This insurance is provided on a reimbursement basis - meaning you must pay for your treatments or costs and submit your claim receipts for reimbursement.

EXPENSE CLAIMS (Physiotherapy or Chiropractic treatments) MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A REFERRAL FROM A PHYSICIAN. "Recommendations" from a physiotherapist, athletic therapist or chiropractor will result in your claim for reimbursement being declined.
