SANCTIONED EVENTS
Football Manitoba reviews events, camps, leagues and programs that have applied for sanctioning to protect the best interests and well-being of our members. Being sanctioned means that the event, camp, league or program meets the following criteria at a minimum:
- The program adheres to all Football Manitoba (Football Canada and Sport Manitoba) guidelines
- The coaches and intructors involved have completed the required NCCP training (National Coaching Certification Program) or have been approved based on the camp criteria.
- The program follows age-appropriate programming guidelines as outlined in the the Long Term Athlete Development model (LTAD) for the ages of the athletes involved in the camp
- The program follows all Football Canada Safe Contact principles and practices, even if the event does not involve contact.
- All adults associated with the program have a recently completed background screening which will include, but not limited to a Criminal Records Check and Manitoba Child Abuse Registry check.
- The event does not cause a Football Manitoba member risk physically, emotionally or financially.
- The event is offered with the primary intent to provide a realistic product, training or instruction that will have a benefit to the members involved and follows Football Manitoba policies and LTAD princoles.
AT YOUR OWN RISK
NON-SANCTIONED EVENTS are not covered by Football Manitoba's comprehensive accident and injury insurance that is included with each member's registration. Participants that are injured during participation in non-sanctioned events are NOT COVERED.
Programs that have received a sanction from Football Manitoba, may and should include the Football Manitoba logo on it's promotional Material.
Non-sanctioned programs are prohibited from using Football Manitoba branding in any form.
